Welcome to fourth grade at Eberwhite Elementary! I am looking forward to an exciting school year with you and your child.

Although this is my sixth year at Eberwhite, I’m not new to Ann Arbor Public Schools. I previously taught at Pattengill Elementary for fifteen years and before then I taught in Chicago Public Schools for 2 years. My husband Eugene and I have two wonderful daughters, Nia and Imani. Nia is a graduate of Tennessee State University and she works with MLC in Nashville, TN.  Imani is a junior at Tennessee State University, and she is a Tiger Belle (collegiate track runner). Yes, we are empty nesters!  It’s such an exciting time for my family! 

Fourth grade is a time of new beginnings, making friends, and learning lots of new things each and every day. Our days will be filled with many wonderful experiences and opportunities for learning and growing.

My goal is to create a caring and stimulating learning environment that encourages all children to learn. I have high expectations for my students and believe that every child can learn and succeed. 

Thank you for entrusting your child to me. I promise to do my best every day to be your child’s companion in learning.

This will be an exciting year. You will be hearing from me often because you are the most important person in your child’s life, and your support and involvement mean a great deal. I value your help and support in making this year a rewarding experience.
