I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. I received my education degree from Eastern Michigan. Before coming to Ann Arbor, I worked in Ypsilanti Community Schools for 4 years. I have been a Mitchell Mustang since 2020. I love teaching because I get to build relationships with amazing children and we can all learn and grow together. My teaching philosophy is that if you give children a safe and loving environment, they will succeed in unimaginable ways. I chose IB because I fell in love with the IB Profile traits and realized that is the exact type of student I wanted to foster in my classroom home. 

I have been married for 5 years and have a beautiful 18 month old son named Jackson and a mischievous puppy named Brody.
